The simplest dessert I have ever made!
Monkey bread is one of those desserts that you NEVER get sick of, no matter how many times you make it. Its BEYOND easy, and inexpensive.
Ingredients:
1 Tube of Annie's Organic Flaky Biscuits
1/2 Cup of Organic Cane Sugar
1 TSP Cinnamon
1 Stick of Organic Butter
1/2 Cup of Organic packed Brown Sugar
Preheat your oven to 350
Grab a small 8x8 inch glass dish or a Bundt pan and butter LIBERALLY with organic butter
In a saucepan, place 1 stick of organic butter and 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar. Bring that to a rapid bowl and then turn off the heat and let sit for 1 minute.
Open your tube of Annie's Organic Flaky biscuits and cut them into 1/4 and place in a large bowl
In a small bowl, combine and mix 1/2 organic cane sugar and 1 TSP of cinnamon. Then sprinkle the mixture over the biscuits until coated.
Pour your biscuits into your 8x8 or Bundt and then carefully pour your butter/brown sugar mixture over the biscuits.
Place in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes and until golden brown.
(Watch it, some ovens cook quicker than others and it may get done sooner or take longer, but you want the biscuits to be cooked and for it to be golden brown. **Cooking in a dark pan vs. a glass pan will accelerate the cooking process as well. )
Flip the pan over onto a serving platter, cover with aluminum foil, and take to your next Girl's Night Out or Bible Study, but be prepared to take the platter home empty, because this dessert will not yield leftovers. Enjoy this OMG dessert today!
