Organic Baked Brie in Pastry with Raspberry Compote

Updated: Apr 13, 2020

Impressing your guests doesn't have to break the bank, here is a simple, delicious, appetizer that will feed a crowd and they'll never know it is so easy on your wallet~

Organic Baked Brie in Pastry with a Raspberry compote

#

Ingredients:

2 Tubes of Annie's Crescent Rolls

1 Organic Grass Fed French Brie

1 Jar of Organic Raspberry Compote

1 Box of Organic Butter Crackers ("Ritz" or "Triscuit" style)

Start with your baking stone or cookie sheet, and spread a thin layer of organic butter across the bottom, so your dough will brown nicely and wont stick to the cookie sheet.

Open your tubes of Annie's Organic crescent rolls, and lay them out on your baking stone.

Open your Organic Grass Fed Brie, I got mine from Whole Foods, on sale, and center it onto your dough.

Open your Raspberry compote, and scoop out roughly 2 TBSP and spread on top of the brie. I found Crofters Organic and it comes in several fruit choices so you are mot limited to Raspberry if you would rather use Blueberry, Apricot, Strawberry, etc....

Begin folding up the dough around the brie, I fold it up piece by piece securing the edges or any holes, and forming what looks like a purse.

Once the dough is secured around the brie completely, you can wisk an organic egg and brush an egg wash all around the dough so that it browns nicely and forms a crust as it cooks.

Place in a 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes depending on your oven (some ovens run hot or have hot spots)

Remove from the oven once the dough is golden brown and transfer to your serving platter. Place crackers around the finished appetizer, and grab a festive serving knife so guests can cut into the brie easily.

Your guests will find this appetizer beautiful and delicious, and you can smile that it made you look like the ultimate host without being too costly!
