Organic Greek Quinoa Bowl

With Grain Bowls all the rage, this hack will change the way you make Quinoa forever...












So I made organic quinoa a handful of times over the past few years and I just couldn't get into it.

I WANTED to like quinoa, it's so good for you, it's a great source of protein even though it is a grain, but it always tasted funky and I kept thinking, I must be doing something wrong??

And then one day, I thought, "why cant I use organic chicken stock or vegetable broth so its not so bland??" And so I did, and it immediately tasted better!

And then one day I thought, "why cant I add some organic seasonings to the quinoa as its cooking in addition to broth to actually make the quinoa taste like Greek seasoning/Taco seasoning etc..."?? Epiphany!!!


Now you may have already known this, but this girl grabs the package, opens it, reads the directions on the back, and just follows them... I am not that super creative chick who thinks to do things like this, until I'm bored with bland food, lol!!!


This is my new thing! I will cook up a good 4 cups of quinoa and make organic Greek, Italian, or Mexican quinoa using my homemade organic seasoning blends and now freeze them portioned out so I can throw a dish together when I don't feel like cooking! I am Adulting!


I cook up some organic chicken using the same seasonings and throw them on the grill and voila, I have an Organic Greek Quinoa bowl, or an Organic Mexican Quinoa bowl... add some organic cucumbers, feta and tomatoes or some organic black beans, corn, and shredded cheese, the options are limitless but the quick and easy assembly is OH SO DOABLE!


So if you are like me and REALLY want to like quinoa, but you cant get past that funky taste (and smell) this hack will change your life. Enjoy ~
